I signed up with Gravatar a while back, and promptly forgot about it. Then, when we launched our blog the other day, John quickly came over to ask me why I have a profile picture when none of our other employees do, and there is no apparent way to set a picture through WordPress.

A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an avatar image that follows you from blog to blog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Check it out!
