I’ve come to find so many interesting articles and web trends by just the few people I’m following on Twitter. While it can take up some time, I think it’s time well spent. It’s like having access to a research feed of things that apply to you. If you’re interested in small business trends and information, then this is probably the set of people for you.
Information Overload: Ignore It!
One important thing to remember if you’re using Twitter or any social media (and I will likely repeat myself time and again), these feeds are like news media. You don’t necessarily watch all of it, every day, even if a lot of it is applicable to you. If you’re busy or have been away and miss the 6 o’clock news, you don’t come back home and watch all of it on the PVR before you watch today’s news. The same idea should be applied to Twitter, Facebook, Friend feed or any other social media you use.
