Our Team

We have the best development team in Toronto, currently numbering about 30 (and we’re hiring too). We asked some of them to speak about Architech.  Here’s what they said:

Andrew, Consultant

andrew_headshotWhen Andrew isn’t busy showing how CRM and marketing automation can transform a business, he enjoys getting battered and bruised on the rugby field. “I think our greatest edge comes from our adaptability. Where other companies deliver only set solutions, we focus on listening and providing the smartest solution—even if it means adjusting the way we work.”

Dalbert, Developer

Dalbert transforms client requirements into quality web solutions – but that’s just fancy talk for ‘web application development’. Outside of work, he loves locking himself in a room with a video game console, and occasionally breaking out to get a long distance run in, or a crazy P90X session. Oh, and he makes really great chili! “The best thing about Architech is that it’s a company that cares about the product they deliver to their clients. That and because the people there are nice.”

Dina, Logistics Manager

The first face you see when you enter our office, and the glue that holds everything together. Dina runs the office with a firm grip, and considers herself the “official birthday cake purchaser”. When not at work, she loves taking George for long walks (her dog, not our developer). “I love watching staff leave the office for the day and them come bursting back in because they have forgotten something!

Gary, Senior Developer

gary_headshotGary is one of those hard core developers that loves to get knee deep in the data … he builds great web apps that actually do useful stuff. Out of the office, Gary is a full time dad and part time chauffeur. I’ve worked with Architech for over five years now, and always get exposed to great new technology. Things are never dull!

Ian, Senior Developer

Ian recently started up our remote development office in St. John’s, Newfoundland – from his house. While he is really the only member of our team outside of Toronto, he stays connected through modern technology and a great sense of humor. “The best reason to work at Architech is the working atmosphere. The team’s professionalism lets everyone get along and still be powerfully productive.”

John, Senior Consultant

john_headshotJohn’s role at Architech – according to him – is to come up with ways to help our clients. He is our “Idea Guy”, a visionary, a geek with some business sense. His favorite memory is in our early years when we didn’t have office space, and we gathered around Jungho’s dining room table to do project kick off meetings. “I just want technology to work for me and be a tool—especially the software I rely on everyday. I try to apply that philosophy to our work with clients, in helping them select and design technology for their business.”

Kevin, Consultant

kevin_headshotKevin has a 20+ year career in IT, and yet loves the written word. Yes he writes code, but he also enjoys technical writing and analysis work … go figure. Kevin makes Salesforce.com rock, and loves when clients rave about the solutions he creates. “Lots of companies can claim to have smart people. Architech is one of the rare few that provide an environment free of unnecessary restrictions, one that encourages personal growth and collaboration.”

Kunle, Developer

kunle_headshotKunle is a level headed, cool under pressure, all around great guy who chews on technology for breakfast. He is known around the office as the guy with the girlish scream that made us all laugh hysterically on a roller coaster at a recent employee Fun Day. He’s also claims one of our desk fans is haunted.“To really make a difference for clients, to really enable them and their business—those are the opportunities we want to pursue and be involved in. We hire really good people. I am lucky.”

Mahedi, Developer

mahedi_headshotIn typical geekspeak, Mahedi says his role is “trying to invent something new with 0 and 1.” When not creating portals and other web apps for clients, he loves watching movies and spending time with his family. Mahedi’s favorite quote: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” (Mahatma Gandhi)

Martin, Developer

Martin joins us from Ireland, having spent several years building mobile applications for the travel industry. He’s a server-side developer, and joined Architech to be part of our great team. “‘Always be the worst guy in every band you’re in.’ My goal is to be the worst on every team – not because I want low standards, but because I want to be on a team with standards so much higher. That is the secret to improving your skills. It is the search for a team of high calibre which has brought me to Architech.”

Nafi, Developer

nafi_headshotNafi is our self-proclaimed office night guard. When not buried in code, he loves to take road trips with friends to exotic places like Miami, Calgary and PEI. “The best part of being at Architech is ‘getting hands on’ with the latest partner technology. Architech has partnered with some very innovative and forward thinking companies, ones that understand the difference between evolutionary products and revolutionary products.”

Pam, Scrum Master

pam_headshotPam is a Scrum Master and PMP-certified project manager with many years of experience delivering projects of all shapes, sizes and complexities. Her role with Architech? To tackle obstacles to ensure the team always stays on track. When not running projects at work, Pam enjoys running through the streets and parks around home. Her favorite memory at Architech? Cake on her birthday! “The team is fantastic here, always striving to do the right thing. Amazing team spirit!”

Senthuran, Senior Developer

senthuran_headshotSenthuran is one of our lead developers, destined for greatness and seriously impressing clients and colleagues along the way. He has built world class applications for some of the biggest brands, but somehow manages to keep a level head through it all. About working here: “Employees are consistently encouraged to provide feedback on how to make the company better. And the management team values and acts on our input. It’s a great feeling when you can help make a difference.”

Sri Parthasarathy, Developer

Sri joined us recently, and has enjoyed being thrown into a hard core development role on one of our InQuira knowledge management implementation projects for a US client. He’s finding his broad experience in financial services, health care and software companies is a great fit for the varied work we do at Architech. He is an avid tennis player and swimmer. His favorite quote, by George Bernard Shaw: “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
