In this lab we take a look at Canada Post’s Ship-in-a-click application. Specifically, we’ve analyzed the first step of their five step process to explore ways to optimize the user experience, enabling users to fill out the form quickly and efficiently.
In this lab, we look at the homepage of Remax.ca. This gateway to the site has some confusing elements, which make the user’s initial experience with the site disappointing.
We built DataTO.org to help form the Toronto Open Data Community. It enables community members to request datasets from the city, while others can rank the requests to help prioritize releases.
How do you choose which sites to assess?
Like you, we at Architech spend a lot of time using the web to save time and make our lives easier. Occasionally, we come across a site that does just the opposite, leaving us frustrated and confused. From these experiences, we rebuild the interfaces the way we think they should work.
Do these companies hire you for this work?
No. Architech was not contracted to make these assessments. Our hope, however, is that companies we examine will learn from the mistakes we point out and improve their sites for all of their customers.
Will you look at our site?
If you like what you see in these examples and would like to hire us for a redesign or a review of your site's usability, please contact us for more information.
