Customer Kiosk

Challenge

  • A world-leading retailer wanted a self-serve kiosk to let customers shop for tires.
  • The stand-alone kiosks had to support some 190 tire models for thousands of vehicles. And they needed to process regular, automated updates of prices, stock levels, and tire and vehicle data.
  • With a target of 2,500-plus kiosks across the United States, remote maintenance was a must.

  • Architech Solutions built the kiosk application, plus the integrated central administration and reporting applications.
  • The solution supports tire selection, store inventory, upselling, client surveys, ordering, printing, remote administration and statistics.
  • The user interface features lots of graphics and video, background music, audio cues, animation effects, and multiple languages.

Results

  • During the pilot project, our client saw tire sales increase substantially at stores with the new kiosks.
