Built at scale, before AI.
What the team that will build your workflow has already shipped.
For two decades before AI, we built the systems large operations run on. Eleven of them are below, with the numbers their owners published.
Nine million Rogers wireless customers. Every DriveTest centre in Ontario. TELUS's business marketplace. The systems below are the work that came before AI, listed alphabetically. None of it is an AI result. For the workflows we have redesigned with AI and the numbers they moved, see real results.

Self-service distributor portal
A distributor self-service portal for orders, invoices, documentation and sales material, replacing an intranet three years in the making.
Boar's Head distributors were selling a catalogue of more than 1,000 products from static PDFs, Word documents and slide decks. A homegrown intranet meant to fix that had been three years in the making and had not shipped. We designed and built a dotCMS portal with user profiles, so every distributor had current product information on desktop, tablet and phone.
- 450
- distributors on the portal
- 1,000+
- products with current information

Cloud modernization of core systems
Azure dev/test environments replacing on-premises provisioning for Cineplex's customer and back-of-house applications.
Cineplex's developers waited two weeks for a new test environment on the on-premises infrastructure, and the same legacy stack was behind the outages on the customer website. We wrote the Azure Resource Manager templates that automate provisioning and containerized the applications for Azure Container Registry. We then planned and ran the lift of the SQL database, working on site with the Cineplex team.
- 99%
- decrease in application downtime
- 2 hours
- to provision new environments
Architech was engaged as our trusted technical partner. It is a pleasure working with them.

Cloud modernization of core systems
A legacy transportation management system rebuilt cloud-native on Azure, with no disruption to daily operations.
Evolution Time Critical's transportation management system was a customized off-the-shelf product that needed manual data extraction for routine work. We rebuilt it serverless on Azure: real-time quotes, automated customer emails, live notifications, a dashboard of every shipment's status and an admin portal for onboarding customers. Deployments were automated, so new products stopped waiting on infrastructure.
- 54%
- faster speed to market
- 2 hours or less
- to deploy Azure infrastructure
- 4 weeks
- to develop and launch new products

High-volume e-commerce
Goodfood's e-commerce platform and last-mile delivery tracking on Google Cloud, with the engineering practice behind a 60-minute delivery window.
Goodfood wanted meals at the door within 60 minutes of ordering, and scaling to more than 100 fulfilment centres had made version compatibility across databases and applications a daily problem. We introduced infrastructure as code and an automated delivery practice on Google Cloud, then built with Goodfood the last-mile delivery planning platform that made the 60-minute window possible.
- 60 min
- last-mile delivery window

Cloud modernization of core systems
Source control and delivery pipelines unified on GitHub, with governance as code, after a four-week architecture assessment.
GoodLife's source code and pipelines were split between Bitbucket and Azure DevOps, slow to work in and slower to change. After a four-week architecture assessment, we consolidated the repositories onto GitHub and wrote the governance policies as code. We turned on advanced security scanning and set up GitHub Actions deploying straight to Azure Kubernetes Service. The migration itself took three weeks.
- 55%
- cost savings identified
- 35%
- faster application development

Content and document systems
Scattered document management and web publishing consolidated into one custom content system, integrating dotCMS and Alfresco.
ICANN manages 180 million domain names and the allocation of four billion network addresses, and years of fast growth had left it with a scattered, non-standard mix of document management and publishing tools. We defined the system actors, workflows and target architecture in six weeks, then migrated document management and web publishing onto one custom content system built around dotCMS and Alfresco.
- 6 weeks
- to a complete target architecture, versus the 6 months it had taken before

Carrier-grade provisioning and customer platforms
Rogers One Number on the new IMS core, plus the Thunder Road profile portal and the Network Provisioning Platform behind it.
Rogers wanted every wireless customer's devices to talk, text and chat over Wi-Fi under one phone number. We built the web portal, mobile call-management tool and iPad app that became Rogers One Number, concurrently with the rollout of the new IMS network. Alongside it: the Thunder Road profile portal and a new network abstraction layer integrating Ericsson NAB, Broadsoft TAS and the e-911 web services.
- 9 million
- wireless customers under the Rogers brands

Built for Serco, operator of DriveTest for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation
Service operations platform
drivetest.ca and the integrated booking, queueing, licence-ordering and agent platform every DriveTest centre runs on.
The Ministry's legacy transaction system carried thousands of business rules, an interface that demanded lengthy training for every new agent, and 57 separate platforms on the agent's desk. We rebuilt it as one integrated platform for Serco's customer service agents, linking the booking engine, queueing system, printers, cameras and licence ordering. Disaster recovery was designed in from the start.
- 57 to 6
- agent platforms, before and after
- Province-wide
- every DriveTest centre on the platform

Customer experience platforms
TELUS B2B micro-applications and services modernized on Google Cloud, from research through purchase, order tracking and support.
TELUS B2B is many outcome teams, each owning the micro-applications and services that business customers use to research, buy, track orders and get support. We modernized them to the TELUS design system on Google Cloud, applied A/B-tested improvements from four high-traffic pages across 40 more, and trained the page owners to keep optimizing without us.
- 0.36% to 5.71%
- average click-through rate
- 2.30% to 4.96%
- lead conversion rate

High-volume e-commerce
The TELUS Business Marketplace front end rebuilt to TELUS digital standards and integrated with the existing back ends.
The marketplace where business customers buy and manage IoT services needed a new front end that met TELUS standards for brand, accessibility, security and performance. It also had to work with the existing Infonova APIs and TELUS single sign-on. We rebuilt it on Google Cloud with React and Node.js, reusable page templates, multilingual content in Contentful, and automated build and deploy pipelines.
- 96%
- faster deployment
- 5 months
- from development to launch

Now Freedom Mobile
Carrier-grade provisioning and customer platforms
WIND Mobile's website and Customer Activation Portal modernized for accessibility, scale and every screen size.
The Customer Activation Portal was WIND's primary conversion point, where customers activated accounts and accepted offers in real time, and the legacy application behind it and the website could not keep up. Working from user research, interviews and heat maps, we rebuilt both mobile-first on one consistent interface and added a content system so WIND's team could manage content without a developer.
Architech significantly accelerated our content delivery capabilities by completing a complex technical design in 6 weeks as opposed to 6 months.
